Connecting Your Channels
Where your leads come from
You can connect as many of these as apply to your business — from the Setup screen. Here's exactly what each one needs from you.
WhatsApp Business number
The number your customers already message. Fully white-glove: just type your number in on the Setup screen and our team connects it — nothing technical required on your end.
You'll also set a separate personal WhatsApp number — that one's just for receiving your daily digest and texting in for an on-demand update (see Your Daily Routine). Two different numbers, two different jobs.
Website chat widget
Self-serve — a small code snippet you paste into your own site once. Step by step:
- In Settings → Channels, turn on the Website chat toggle — this generates your snippet and a unique widget key.
- Copy the snippet shown on that page.
- Open your website's HTML — see "Where to paste it, by platform" below.
- Paste the snippet right before the closing
</body>tag — or into the "Footer" box if your platform doesn't expose raw HTML. - Save and publish your site.
- Back in Settings → Channels, enter the domain your site runs on (e.g.
yourbusiness.co.za) — the widget stays hidden until this is set, for security. - Visit your live site — a chat bubble should appear in the corner. Send yourself a test message to confirm it's working.
Where to paste it, by platform:
- WordPress — WordPress has no built-in way to add custom code, so you'll need a small plugin. We recommend WPCode (formerly "Insert Headers and Footers" by WPBeginner) — free, 2M+ active installs, and it automatically disables a snippet rather than breaking your site if something's ever pasted wrong. Install it, go to Code Snippets → Header & Footer, paste the snippet into the Footer box, and save. Already using a page builder like Elementor Pro or Divi? They usually have their own "Custom Code" section under Theme Settings — no extra plugin needed.
- Wix — Add → Embed → Embed Code (or Settings → Custom Code on newer sites), set it to load on all pages, "Body — end".
- Squarespace — Settings → Advanced → Code Injection, paste into the "Footer" box.
- Shopify — Online Store → Themes → Edit code, open
theme.liquid, paste just before</body>.
Not sure how to edit your site's code? Send us your website login or a screenshot of your site builder and we'll install it for you.
Website contact form
Self-serve — point your existing contact form at a webhook URL we generate for you. Step by step:
- In Settings → Channels, turn on the Website contact form toggle — this generates a webhook URL unique to your account.
- Copy that webhook URL.
- Open your website builder or form plugin's settings and find the field called "Form action," "Webhook," "Submit to URL," or "Integrations."
- Paste the webhook URL there and save.
- Submit a test entry on your live site — it should appear as a new lead on your dashboard within a few seconds.
Not sure where that setting lives on your specific platform? Send us a screenshot of your form's settings page and we'll point you to it.
Shopify note: Shopify's built-in contact form template doesn't expose a "submit to URL" setting — it posts straight to Shopify's own inbox. To route those leads to Nurturly, either use a form app that supports a custom webhook/action URL, or use the Website chat widget above instead, which works identically on Shopify.
Google Ads Lead Form
Self-serve — connect your Google Ads Lead Form asset's webhook delivery to your account. Step by step:
- In Settings → Channels, turn on the Google Ads Lead Form toggle — this generates a webhook URL and a matching key.
- Copy both the webhook URL and the key.
- In Google Ads, go to Assets → Lead form assets, and open the lead form you want to connect.
- Under "Delivery method," choose "Webhook integration."
- Paste the webhook URL into "Webhook URL" and the key into "Webhook key" (Google sometimes labels this "Payload key").
- Click "Send test lead" in Google Ads — it should appear as a new lead on your dashboard within a few seconds.
Google will occasionally ping this URL to check it's alive — that's expected and handled automatically, no action needed from you.
Meta (Facebook) Lead Ads
OAuth-based — no manual copying of URLs. Step by step:
- In Settings → Channels, turn on the Meta Lead Ads toggle.
- Log in with your Facebook account when prompted, and grant the requested permissions.
- Select the Facebook Page your lead ad campaigns run on.
- That's it — new leads from that Page's Lead Ads campaigns (Facebook and Instagram placements both) flow into your dashboard automatically, no further setup.
Note: real leads only flow through once Meta's Business Verification review is complete for the connected account — this is a one-time Meta-side review, not something you need to do per connection. Ask us if you're not sure whether that's cleared yet for your account.
Instagram DM & Messenger
Coming soon. These are built and go through the same Facebook connect flow as Meta Lead Ads, but aren't live yet while Meta reviews platform-level access. No date to share yet — check back, or ask us directly.
Company documents
Not a lead channel, but connected the same way: upload a price list, brochure, or FAQ sheet on the Setup screen and your onboarding assistant reads it straight into your knowledge base. The file itself is read once and discarded — never stored.
